Facility

Reptile Camp is located in Bonfield, Ontario just 30 mins east of North Bay. This pristine 8 acre property includes forests, wetlands and a river and is surrounded by crown land and nature. We have a small 2900 sq foot facility that houses 50 species of reptile including out large American Alligator named “Mojo”. Some highlights of the rescued animals at Reptile Camp include parrots such as our Amazons and Macaws, some amphibians and arachnids, turtles and tortoises, snakes and lizards and of course crocodilians.

On the property is camp director Steve Featherstone’s family home which is utilized in pour weather conditions as well as for some programming and family meal times for overnight campers. We have a large camp site for our residential campers with lots of room for tents, camp fires and activities. Reptile Camp also has a low ropes team building and initiative course, axe throwing, archery lanes, kayaking and more!

The community of Bonfield is ideal for a program such as Reptile Camp. We utilize the community parks for programming on a daily basis. We are a 5 minute drive to a community centre with a swimming area, natural spaces, kayaking, basketball court, soccer field and more! We also use many conservation areas, and Provincial Parks that are within a 15 minute drive for hiking, orienteering, kayaking , discovery time and more! What an amazing area!

This facility is only opened for registered programs and is not open to the public.
