This camp is designed to give the opportunity for local youth to gain skills required for the work place! Our LIT’s will have a week of skill development camp learning skills to volunteer or work at our camp, or in any other child orientated programs! Some of the topics covered include behavioral situations, children with disabilities, acceptance, inclusion, leadership skills, team building, risk management, designing and implementing programing, first aid and C.P.R., record keeping, animal handling, animal care and more!
After the successful completion of the LIT course each of our future leaders will be able to volunteer any other week of the summer where they will be responsible for programing, and ensuring each of our participants have a safe, and fun time at camp!
Once our LITs complete this course they are permitted to volunteer at any of our after-school programs, special events and outreach programs.
